During 2021, our focus has been on releasing the latest version of EMDS, version 8.5, for the ESRI platforms. While we plan to continue enhancing the product on ESRI desktop products, we have been evaluating other platforms that could leverage the EMDS client and technology. The EMDS consortium has identified two platforms which we will be building for during the first half of 2022:

• EMDS for QGIS 3.x
• EMDS Online

All four products will be able to share projects and information between each other. These moves will enable us to have a completely open source version of EMDS running on the QGIS platform. EMDS Online will be our pivoting to a more collaborative and productive GeoDesign Workbench environment. Consulting, training, development, and service plans will be announced shortly to support all versions of EMDS. We plan to have both EMDS for QGIS and EMDS Online out in Spring 2022.
