Install EMDS for QGIS — 3 steps, no terminal
- Download the ZIP for your platform above — and leave it zipped. (macOS Safari tip: if downloads auto-extract, right-click the button → Download Linked File, or turn off “Open ‘safe’ files after downloading” in Safari settings.)
- In QGIS, open Plugins → Manage and Install Plugins → Install from ZIP and select the downloaded file.
- When the EMDS setup dialog appears, click Install now, then restart QGIS when prompted. Done. (Dismissed the dialog? It stays available under Plugins → EMDS → Finish EMDS Setup…)
Automatic updates
On first launch, EMDS offers to register its plugin repository so updates arrive through the QGIS Plugin Manager — just click Yes. To set it up manually instead (Plugin Manager → Settings → Add), use the repository URL for your platform:

ArcMap Legacy Version
EMDS for ArcMap (10.8+) is available for existing users. This version receives critical bug fixes only; new features are not backported. We strongly encourage migration to ArcGIS Pro or QGIS.
